They stand on the shore,
Watching me sink.
I sink deeper.
Muck in my mouth.
I swim through the muck to become
invisible.
And they smile as they watch my life
sink down into the depths
of my watery hell.
Where no light wanders.
When no angels tread.
Where not even God looks.
I sink to my lowest,
sink to my knees.
Sinking, always sinking.
And I perish.
Flesh drifting away, my eys crusting.
Shut with salt.
I perish.
